************************************************************************************** Meetings The Amateur Radio Club of Sun City
Center has regular monthly meetings, the first Wednesday of every Month. Informal meetings
through out summer months. Theystart at 2:00 P.M. in the Florida Room of Atrium Building of
Community Association. Interested visitors and area radio amateurs are
invited to attend. Our Program Director plans interesting programs for
each meeting.

K E 4 Z I P Provides Echolink Connection
Another Echolink node in Sun City. Travelers now have a new way to keep in touch with their
Sun City Center friends. The Sun City Center Amateur radio club has established its own
Echolink node conencted to the KE4ZIP 147.225 repeater. The new node (587115) can be accessed by internet or via touch-tone DTMF entry from a remote repeater.
The SCCARC node runs off a rebuilt laptop based on a Dell Latitude connected to an ICOM-
ic-2200H radio via a Rascal soundcard device.
This system provided by W1WAB is located in old maintenance office (CERT). This supplements
the echolink connection that has also been operational for some time by KPARC. To use the
The KPARC echolink node is (311633). Echolink node (311633) connected to the 147.090
repeater as well... so there's no reason not to keep in touch while you travel! Questions
on how to use Echolink from your HT, PC, iPod, or iPad should be directed to Dick Bishop
W4NWD, Bill Miller N1CDO, or Bill Barron W1WAB.
