LEWIS, James W., 72, WB8GIP, of Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, died at Doctors Hospital in Sarasota December 28, 2009. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force, retired firefighter and fire prevention officer for the Truro Twp. Fire Department in Reynoldsburg, a member of American Radio Relay League for 50 years, past president of SCC Radio Club, president of QCWA Radio Club, member of Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Tactical Amateur Radio Club, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Citizens Academy, National Weather Service, and SCC Security Patrol. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda "Sam"; son, James (Miranda) Lewis; daughters, Sandra (James) White and Judith (Stevie) Shultz; brother, Robert (Grace) Lewis; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mae Lewis; and brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Carol Lewis. There will be a memorial service later in January. Zipperer's Funeral Home
